US equity futures were mixed as strong earnings from Nvidia buoyed the technology sector, offsetting weakness across the broader market. Futures on the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 rose 0.5%, while Dow Jones Industrial Average futures edged lower.

Nvidia jumped 6% in premarket trading after the world’s largest company projected a roughly 70% increase in revenue for the next fiscal year, driven by surging demand for AI computing. The guidance challenged lingering doubts that capital spending on AI infrastructure would soon decelerate.

The upbeat outlook lifted other AI‑linked names, with Micron, Marvell, SanDisk, Palo Alto Networks, and GE Vernova gaining between 3% and 6% in premarket activity.

Outside of technology, sentiment was weaker as investors remained wary of an unfavorable macroeconomic backdrop. Long-term Treasury yields hovered near recent highs, under pressure from widening federal budget deficits, a surge in AI-related debt issuance, renewed tariff frictions with Canada and other major trading partners, and mounting risks of higher energy-driven inflation. Shares of Apple, Merck, and Visa each fell more than 1% in premarket trading.
